Open Professional/Semi-professional:

This means that you are performing and/or competing and/or teaching full or part time. The "on 1" and "on 2" dancers will be competing in the same category.

Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.

Pro-Am

One of the couple is performing and/or competing and/or teaching full or part time. The other one is a student/amateur who has never been paid to teach or perform. The "on 1" and "on 2" dancers will be competing in the same category.

Am-Am

This means that you are a student/amateur couple who has never been paid to teach or perform. The "on 1" and "on 2" dancers will be competing in the same category.

Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places.

Pro-Am Heats

This division consists of competitors social dancing on stage to a selection of songs in their chosen style and selected by the DJ. 3 songs will be played in total; each one at a different tempo and will last approximately 1 minute. Several couples will dance at the same time. Once all the competitors have danced, medals will be given according to their score. There will be gold, silver and bronze medals awarded. The styles available are Salsa, Bachata and Hustle.
